I saw an article on the RSS feed website: http://www.e-cignews.com/, about fountain that had propylene glycol spilled into it. The article was interesting because it wasn’t aimed at “e-smokers” which made it very non biased about the chemical.

So we wanted to make a video for the E-Cigarette and so we watched a few youtube videos saw some axe commercials: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m46_g4Zpmw&feature=related

We owned the Janty Dura and thought up a pretty cool catch phrase for it considering the smooth pull we got out of it.

We then decided, (SPOILER ALERT) alright a comedic approach to the cigarette after sex it will be! (SPOILER END) So without too much hoopla we present our newest video!

On a side note, obviously this pushes the boundaries of crossing that line of sex and cigarettes that tobacco companies have been barred from for years, but this is the E-Cigarette, and it IS sexy… Soooo take it as you like

As a former smoker, I am very familiar with the trials and tribulations of trying to quit. From the patch to the gum , to the carrots and the straws. I know all the ways I have tried to forget about smoking and the habbits I had formed when I tried to quit.

Ok soooo be careful about talking about these things in an office where others may hear you. Here is the conversation me and my friend who just got an E-Cigarette today had as I tried to explain to him how to use it.

Me: So whats the problem?

Him: It isn’t making smoke and it kinda hurts my throat.

Me: Lemme see. Hmm it pulls fine for me.

Him: Yeah but when I pull on it it tastes nasty and sometimes it shoots liquid in my mouth.

Me: Well yeah that happens sometimes, just gotta spit it out.

Him: Yeah it tastes nasty.

Me: How hard are you pulling?

Him: Here watch.

Me: OK you’re doing it wrong, watch me, I will pull longer and not as hard. Also don’t put your finger over the hole.

Him: Oh shit it works now!

Me: See told ya!

Him: Oh man now I can taste it!

Me: Yeah good I was afraid it was broken.

Him: I guess it just takes some getting used to. Lemme see yours again.

After this conversation we started talking about the difference between his and mine again, and the other people in the hall started piling into our room laughing their asses off. We had now realized what we had done, /sigh…  lol So be careful If you don’t know why from this.. well you’ll be fine then lol.

I just wanted to write about some of the conversations I have had with people about e-cigarettes in the last few days. As any e-smoker knows, when you go on your smoke breaks with one of these things you get asked a lot of questions.

I have had some of the most down to earth sincere conversations with people over the last few days about smoking. It has really been moving. What a smoker will never admit to a non smoker or someone who says,”HEY you need to QUIT!” or “You know you’re killing yourself, right?!?!” is why yes yes I am. We get pissed and it makes us want to smoke more because deep down inside we know exactly what we are doing. We are also dreading the doctor visits for simple checkups because of the WHAT IF and CANCER word, causing some to miss normal checkups all together. All in all it is denial, but most of all it is us loving the aspect of smoking soo much: being social, our mind giving us a break from work, brain storming, some cases weight loss, and so on. How many times have you been a part of an important meeting ona  smoke break? I know I have.  There are things like that in life that make quitting even harder, especially if you enjoy it. What we feel inside is so conflicting it is impossible to answer those who approach us in any other way than for us to joke as a dismissal or to get angry.

This is where my conversations have differed. When anyone sees that there is another option out there to keep their lifestyle they have grown to love, be it feeding the nicotine addiction or just having the social aspect, if you ask them, “You hate the fact that regular cigarettes are eventually going to kill you” They will look you in the eyes and agree. Not only that but there is such truth in the statement and understanding, it is really moving. I have been very fervent about the entire idea of e-smoking because honestly I have wondered SINCE I BEGAN SMOKING, why oh why can’t there be a healthy alternative, I really enjoy this. I mean come on, smoking is a past time that really just feels right for some of us. I mean look at an old 50’s picture, everyone is smoking. Look at the old ads! They didn’t know any better and so they enjoyed smoking and it was part of the culture. When we found out it was bad it was too late to turn back and the culture pushed on, even past all of the negative aspects. People look down on smokers because they are killing themselves, HOW COULD THEY! They say we smell, they say it sucks to kiss us, they move us into corners of buildings away from other people even though they don’t realize we have our own community wherever they put us. We often feel exiled or as if we may jeopardize more than our health but our jobs as well being smokers.

So now that I can tell my story with the e-cigarettes to all my friends who smoke with me, they look at what is in my hand, confused but hopeful. And I swear if there was theme music or I could jump into the inner psychie of one of them when they hear there is a healthier alternative to smoking without having to stop the routine I would start crying. Or how about the idea that you could technically smoke indoors so if you NEED to be somewhere but can’t concentrate without that smoke, do it right there, take a few drags, or hit the bathroom and grab a few puffs in there to last you.

Now don’t get me wrong being that e-cigs are still under question this may not be the answer yet, but just from a surface point of view it is a damn good step in the right direction.

Hey all, there are some rumors going around that Steve from puresmoker.com has fallen off the face of the earth. We just received this email from him:

We certainly apologize if any emails/communication went unanswered. CNY has played a huge role in the backup. Esmokers realize product might end up getting held up so orders have been being pushed through like no tomorrow. Besides checking the forums on a couple breaks during the day, The rest of our time is spent doing inventory and orders throughout the day. We don’t eventually get online till the evening hours (8pm - 2/3am) At that time, we have 2 PC’s going at the same time answering emails. Joanna has been a blessing, she has now helped take the brunt and forefront of emails, but just know, we spend atleast 5-6 hours every evening trying to respond to each and every email personally.

Planning for CNY was difficult. The good news is, since we planned ahead of time, we should have enough product and juice to cover us for the next 3 or so weeks, until manufacturering opens up again. The inventory backlog and new product being released Monday has put us in a real bind

Now … On to the help front. We are actually planning on moving to a larger facility (actually, outside the state of CA). We are still a few weeks out, but do plan on hiring help very quickly. Hopefully within no time, we’ll be a well greased machine, its the growing pains that hurt

Again, apologize for any emails that went unanswered, and will hopefully be able to get to them sometime today.

You’ll all be glad to know that he is alive well and shipping product as fast as he can! Damn Chinese New year, but hey they need to party too! Be aware though he is in the process of doing inventory and will not be shipping out any new orders(although you can still place them) until Monday the 26th. But he said you can still order!

He also has said there should be some exciting new products to look forward to!

The Electronic Cigarette:

It is a non –flammable product that uses state of the art micro-electronic technology which provides smokers a real smoking experience without the fire, flame, tobacco, tar, carbon monoxide, ash, stub or smell found in real cigarettes.

How does the e-cigarette work?

The smokers still get their nicotine, but don’t get any harmful side effects of smoking traditional cigarettes which contain real tobacco.

The electronic version of a cigarette can look like an old fashion cigarette or a real cigarette, or something more like a clove with a blue green red pink LED. The mouthpiece contains a replaceable cartridge filled with liquid. The main substances contained in the liquid are nicotine and propylene glycol. A rechargeable battery is used as power source.

When air flows through the device, it is detected by a microprocessor. The microprocessor then activates an atomizer which injects tiny droplets into the air flow. This results in a vapor mist which is inhaled by the user. The addition of propylene glycol to the liquid makes the mist better resemble normal cigarette smoke. It not only simulates cigarette smoke but also the temperature of common cigarette’s smoke.

A good e-smoking device has a replaceable atomizer, so you do not have to replace the complete device in case newer technology is available. Besides that it is preferable to use a e-cigarette with cartridges you can refill, making it even more affordable.

What does it mean for your health?

The e-cigarette is the healthy alternative for the old fashion cigarette. Because atomization does not produce the particulate matter which results from the burning of plant material, there is no no tar, no carbon monoxide, and no ash. You will get the real tobacco taste, without any unhealthy addition. There are cartridges available for normal nicotine value, but also for less or no nicotine.

Not less important, an e-cigarette is also healthy for the people around you. Keeps your house clean. And maybe your partner will be more willing to kiss you, because there will be no cigarette smell afterwards.

You can use a e-cigarette to gradually stop smoking. Or you can continue smoking without risking your health.

However even though some people say it can be a good cessation device this is yet to be approved as one by the FDA. There are still many unknowns about the e-cigarette but one could assume just by looking at the ingredients and technology it is probably MUCH better than continuing smoking a regular cigarette.

The information here is meant to be more than just a review of a product but to help gather the information needed to make educated decisions as we all dive into the world of Electronic Cigarettes.
